The fun just keeps on rolling.
To celebrate National Nursing Home Week, Corbin HRC is providing an enormous amount of entertainment with no shortage of fun in sight! After already going out to a breakfast buffet, chicken dancing, getting a Willie Nelson impersonator, eating banana splits and getting a magic show earlier in the week, the residents and staff took the show on the road.
Next up: Cumberland Falls
Once there, the residents got to enjoy some activities with the Cumberland Falls Mining Company where they got to search for and discover real gemstones that they took home. While they were digging for precious gems, some other little creatures were digging in their heels.
Residents got visits from baby goats and calves, which they fed and pet for what seemed like forever. If they could’ve brought the adorable animals to the facility, they would’ve. But in the meantime, they just enjoyed the camaraderie and being out in nature with good company.
Cumberland Falls is a state park in Corbin, Kentucky and its iconic waterfall has led to the nickname “Little Niagra.”
