Happy National Nursing Home Week

National Nursing Home Week is May 12 through May 18. The other day, Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center had the Sally Gap Petting zoo visit the residents and staff. Later that day, there was a balloon launch to kick the week off with western theme activities and outfits.

Tiki Bar Thursday for Nurse Week

Throughout the week, Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center has been celebrating nurses for Nurse Week. On Thursday, the facility provided a tiki bar with pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris served to them by the administrator. Everyone supported their favorite sports teams by wearing a shirt or sweatshirt.

Derby at the Facility

Staff and residents at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center enjoyed their day with Derby themed activities. They made Derby Horse Cookies with Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies, Mini Vanilla Wafers, Eyeball candies, Tootsie Rolls, and Colored Icing. Residents also made Derby hats, enjoyed Mint Juleps, and participated in own horse races with the staff.
