Corbin HRC hosted its community Easter Egg Hunt for the kiddos to discover eggs, surprises and get lots and lots of chocolate. It was a little chilly but everyone had a great time since there were plenty of eggs and prizes for the kids and even the residents themselves. And if that wasn’t enough, the Easter Bunny made a special appearance to bring delight to everyone and take pictures with even the smallest of visitors.

Easter’s tradition of colored eggs and the Easter Bunny have a long history. The egg is considered an ancient symbol of new life and is associated in celebrating spring. In Christian circles, eggs are said to represent Jesus’ emergence from the tomb and resurrection on the third day.

As for the Easter bunny, that tradition first arrived in America when German immigrants living in Pennsylvania in the 1700s Pennsylvania brought their tradition of an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” or “Oschter Haws.”

The residents and staff of Hyden HRC wants to wish everyone a Happy Easter and to have blessed day.
